Chat Social Media Success with HARO

By Eric Frye

Back in April, we first blogged about our involvement in the HARO network (which stands for Help a Reporter Out). Three months later and we’re still hooked!haro_logo170

We receive daily emails from HARO, in which journalists reach out to the public with current topics, to attain press stories. Find out more about this FREE group at http://www.helpareporter.com/. I met the founder of this community, Peter Shankman, in Los Angeles a few months ago. We believe his intentions for finding quality stories and promoting local businesses in journalism apply very well to our online marketing strategy.

This is why we have been forwarding HARO opportunities to many clients over the last several months. We must have read a journalist prompt and immediately thought of your business…and the possibility of a free press opportunity to display on your website and in the office. Journalists are looking for businesses with a fresh perspective like yours, so well keep passing their prompts along!

For one, we believe the prompt below speaks to all businesses who have used Social Media for Business. Quick– its press deadline is tomorrow evening.

Please see the HARO press opportunity below. Feel free to reach out to the journalist if you have experienced specific benefits from engaging in social media.  As always, please let us know if your perspective is published online or in print. We’d be happy to advise on marketing your published piece.  Have a great day and best of luck with all your efforts!
